 African American Women's Heart Conference Saturday, Feb. 13th 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Bernards Auditorium-505 East Washington Jonesboro, AR
African American women in particular have high rates of heart disease. Major risk factors include obesity, physical inactivity, high blood pressure and diabetes. Cardiology Associates Foundation and The Heart Truth Women of Color Initiative will focus on extending The Heart Truth message.
Dr. Mark Levinson, an HMG physician will be the luncheon guest speaker. His inspirational message will encourage African American women to take action in order to reduce their risks for heart disease. This event will also include additional educational seminars and materials.
