Ryan named Executive Director for Healthcare Medical Group

Christina Ryan of Jonesboro has been named executive director for Healthcare Medical Group (HMG), the area’s largest voluntary association of physicians.

A 2002 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Ryan has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications. The former Nashville resident has eight years of marketing and event planning experience, serving as the marketing and business manager for J.S. Fields & Company, as well as operations coordinator for Provident Label Group, a division of Sony Music Entertainment that focuses primarily on Christian music.

At J.S. Fields & Company, Ryan was a consultant, business manager and pageant systems manager. She designed print and online ad campaigns, managed retail sales and inventory and implemented comprehensive pageant education curricula.

In her work with Provident Label Group, Ryan has planned events for recording artists Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay and Third Day, among others.

Ryan has been involved in the world of pageants since the age of 15 – first as a competitor and later as a judge and consultant. Most notably she was Miss Illinois USA 1999, Mrs. Tennessee America 2007, and 1st Runner-Up Mrs. America 2007. She is also a trainer with Boot Camp for Beauty Queens. Her platforms are childhood obesity and empowering women.

Ryan was born and raised in Carbondale, Ill.

Her husband Mickey was raised in Harrisburg and graduated from Arkansas State University. He serves as the advertising director and afternoon personality for 103.9 The Game Radio. The Ryans have a four-year-old daughter Audrey and attend First Baptist Church.

Ryan has worked as a volunteer with Gilda’s Club Nashville, Susan G. Komen Foundation, National Association for Music Education and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Over 150 physicians are members of HMG and represent 31 specialties. They are bound by a single shared commitment – to make the very best healthcare accessible and affordable to all patients. Each physician makes every effort to ensure patients have positive experiences. They also sponsor highly successful HMG Health & Fitness Expo each spring, which is the largest health and fitness related event in this region. This year more than 15,000 people attended the Expo at the Convocation Center on the Arkansas State University campus.
